Our main focus is health, your health and ours. Healthy soil, healthy plants, healthy animals, healthy people! We are a real family farm and we're your neighbor.
Why Croft?
We are a real family farm. We are your neighbor. We care about the health of your family.
Steve loves taking care of the soil which is really the heart of the matter. Michelle loves growing things. We all enjoy the wonderful flavors of fresh foods! To us farming is about caring for the soil so we can deliver true health in the food that we grow. What we do is really about your health and ours. Healthy soil, healthy plants, healthy animals, healthy people!
Why LOCAL?
Local means better taste and nutrition. USDA estimates 51% of all fruits and vegetables are imported from other countries. Food nutrient levels are greatly effected by heat, air and light, all which are difficult to control during transportation. A large percent of our produce also comes from California and is seldom less than a week old when you consume it. For example, when spinach is kept at a refrigeration level of 39 degrees it lost an average of 53% of its folate and carotenoid content in approximately 1 week. Fresh picked is healthier!
Local is also about neighbors. It's about us being here for you and you being here for us, supporting each other.
ORGANIC?
We are no longer certified organic but our standards of growing produce have not changed. We grow using the same methods and philosophy held by the USDA Certified Organic Program. We at Croft Family Farm do not support GMO's and will not intentionally grow or sell any variety of produce that has been genetically modified.
